Job Description - Bagel Builder / Barista
The Spot is currently looking to hire enthusiastic staff to work as part of a professional team to produce a high quality.
You will prepare and serve drinks and food whilst maintaining a high standard of service and customer care with a friendly and polite attitude at all times.
You will ensure good customer service is being served whilst maintaining high levels of safety and hygiene throughout the premises.
Part of your duties will be discussing any requests or suggestions for new stock items and reporting any issues that could affect the smooth running of The Spot to management.
You will assist with deliveries and storage of stock, stock control and will make sure that shelves, fridges and counter are fully stocked.
Some of your key responsibilities will be:
To prepare beverages in line with Food Hygiene; Health and Safety standards.
Serve pastries, bagels, waffles, milshakes and other snack foods as requested. They must also be able to follow recipes accurately and adhere to health and safety regulations.
Maintain display fridges and ensure regular re-fill and cleaning.
Take temperature checks of the freezers / fridges and report findings on record sheet - any faults to be reported to the line manager.
Deal with any issues, from breakdowns to faulty products and any refunds.
Prepare in readiness for opening and ensure service and seating areas are cleaned before use.
To keep coffee machine clean at all times and to do regular deep cleaning routine to service coffee machine.
Help in organising, booking and running special events
As a Bagel Builder / Barista you may, from time to time, be required to undergo training relevant to the responsibilities above or related duties.
The Spot is an exciting new business opening up in a fantastic location on Lea Bridge Road, with good transport links and a thriving community.
We are aiming to create a warm, friendly and fun hub for the community to get together to share top quality food and drink as well as add a host of events designed to get people together.
Experience:
Barista experience: 1 year (preferred)
Hospitality: 1 year (preferred)
customer service: 1 year (preferred)
