JOB SUMMARY
To support the data function of Young Gloucestershire by recording project data, creating reports and carrying out data administration.

This will be achieved through one-to-one work with the Data Administration Lead for Young Gloucestershire and by liaising with delivery workers and YG management.


MAIN DUTIES

Data Entry and Maintenance:


  • Accurately inputting data related to youth work projects into the organisation's database.
  • Updating and maintaining Upshot database to ensure current and accurate information.
  • Assisting in the creation of data collection methods that align with project objectives.

Data Quality Control:


  • Performing regular checks to ensure data integrity and quality.
  • Identifying and correcting errors, merging duplicates and rectifying inconsistencies in the data.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of data quality standards.

Data Analysis Support:


  • Assisting with fundamental data analysis to identify trends and patterns relevant to youth work.
  • Preparing simple reports and visualisations to communicate findings to the team.
  • Supporting the data team in more complex data analysis tasks as required.

Compliance and Confidentiality:


  • Understanding and adhering to data protection laws and confidentiality requirements, such as the UK's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
  • Ensuring all data handling is compliant with legal and ethical standards.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Working closely with youth workers and delivery managers to understand data needs.
  • Communicating effectively with team members to resolve data queries and issues.
  • Participating in team meetings and contributing to discussions on datarelated matters.

Technical Support and Training:


  • Assisting in the management of the organisation's data systems and tools.
  • Providing essential technical support to team members on the Upshot software.
  • Engaging in training and development opportunities to enhance data management skills.

Project Support:


  • Assisting with administrative tasks related to youth work projects as needed.
  • Helping to coordinate and monitor project timelines and deliverables.
  • Supporting the team in the preparation of project documentation and presentations.

Additional Responsibilities:


  • Participate in apprenticeship learning and complete all associated assignments and assessments.
  • Stay informed about developments in the field of youth work and data management.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support the goals of the organisation.
Entry requirements

Person specification

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Basic understanding of data management principles.
  • Good organisational and timemanagement skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Confidence to talk in public settings
  • A proactive approach to problemsolving.
  • Interest in youth work and community projects.
  • To maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Enthusiasm, stamina and a willingness to work flexibly and take on training when require
  • An understanding of and commitment to equality and diversity, safeguarding and YG's culture

Ideal Skills:
