Description

We are looking for a Finance Business Partner to join our finance team in Solihull. This is a hybrid role paying £41,795 - £53,061 along with a market leading benefits package.

Here's what you'll be doing:


As a Finance Business Partner in our Industrial & Commercial (I&C) business you will help produce the core management planning and reporting that is used by the Senior Leadership Team to help steer the business.

You will provide analysis and insight to the business, identify opportunities and drive action to optimise commercial outcomes for the I&C business.


Stakeholder relationships:

Manage key stakeholder relationships with B-1 and B-2 level across the I&C business.


Insight:

Developing KPI analysis, interpretation and communication of actual performance against financial plans, using a sound knowledge of the business to help to drive value-based decision making.


Forecasting:

Preparing financial forecasts, informing business strategies and decision making. Provide insight and analysis for gross margin, controllable costs, FTE and operational metrics.


Commercial decision making:

Providing sound financial expertise in helping the business leaders optimise commercial decision making.


Risk & opportunities:

Full analysis and steering of business risks and opportunities.


Process improvement:

Implement efficiency changes in the existing reporting process, and work with the business to enhance financial management reporting.


Governance & Control:

Ensure the effective operation of appropriate governance and controls


What we need from you:


  • You will either have or, be working towards an accountancy qualification there may also be the opportunity for sponsorship towards an apprenticeship.
  • You have excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to deal effectively and confidently with all individuals at all levels of the business.
  • You will be confident in identifying opportunities to unlock value and provide effective support. You must also be confident in challenging senior stakeholders.
  • You will be comfortable with Influencing the team in how decisions are made
  • You will be confident in working to tight deadlines and prioritise workloads in a fastpaced environment.
  • You have an understanding and experience of core finance processes; management accounting, forecasting and reporting.
