Job summary


In line with our third area of work, the purpose of the role will be to provide high quality administration and project support to the Primary Care Networks (PCNs) in Wakefield.


A PCN is a group of GP Practices that work together in order to provide care at scale to all their patients collectively.

They utilize specialist roles that can see a specific cohort of patients and are held to contracts from NHSE. These PCNs are lead by a Business Manager, Clinical Directors and other key leads. The purpose of this role is to support these leads in managing the many responsibilities of the PCN. A big task - but we have great support networks


As a highly motivated individual, you will be expected to support in the provision of high quality general, financial, HR and corporate administrative support across multiple PCNs.

Managing the design, implementation and ongoing development of systems, processes and policies for the smooth running of all back-office functions.


Utilising excellent communication skills, you will develop professional working relationships with members of: Conexus Healthcare Ltd, staff in the Primary Care Networks and other system partners.


The post holder will work mainly from home, with one day a week in the office with the PCN Support team.

You may need to go out for the occasional meeting but this would always be planned ahead of time.


This post is advertised as part time - we need a minimum of 15 hours per week (opportunity to increase in the future if desired).


Main duties of the job


There's no such thing as a typical day in this role Feedback we've had from members of our team is that the job description doesn't really give a full picture of what the role looks like, but once they started with us they understood why.

Things mentioned in the full JD may come up once a month, once a week, or even once a day but until we find out what new things the PCN leads are working on, we don't know If you like variety, then this would be the perfect role for you

  • Supported with recruitment
  • Updated an IIF spreadsheet
  • Attend meetings, take the minutes, and distributing after as well as updating the action log
  • Update ledgers on SystmOne
  • Source a venue for a meeting
  • Update a presentation with data from SystmOne
  • Building spreadsheets that breakdown data automatically, and build reports on SystmOne
  • Speak to another team within Conexus to see if we can arrange training for one of the PCNs
  • Support with claims


There's things listed above that we didn't know how to do before we started in this role, but we have a really supportive and helpful network of teams within Conexus that give us the confidence to take on any task.

The only thing you need is a can-do attitude and a willingness to learn and try

You will join the growing PCN Support Team and work alongside the other admin support officers to manage shared workloads while still being responsible for your own area of work.

Experience

Essential

  • Experience of working successfully in an administrative environment.
  • Experience of clearly communications with a range of stakeholders, with excellent writing, data entry and presentation skills.
  • Experience of creating high quality documentation for information and meetings.
  • Experience of working with, and improving, administration systems and functions to support the delivery of highquality services.
  • Experience of working positively and productively with colleagues and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in primary healthcare.
