Description

Industrial Placement (Commercial) - Caffè Nero:
The search is underway for an undergraduate to join the Commercial Team here at Caffè Nero.

To be considered for this opportunity you must be studying a Business Studies or Economics degree that requires you to undertake a placement beginning in Summer 2024 (returning to your final year in the Autumn of 2025).

This is a fantastic opportunity to get involved in the operation of our Commercial function, being part of a collaborative and supportive team from Day 1.

The Commercial Team are responsible for driving profitable sales in our stores by procuring items at best cost, ranging products to different store types, setting the pricing, and ensuring full availability of our products to our customers.

Here's an idea of what you'll be doing during the placement:

  • Attend supplier meetings to review performance and discuss new ways of working.
  • Work with stores to find solutions to range/availability challenges.
  • Assign and communicate product ranges to store groups and channels.
  • Project lead in pricing, range and stock availability for our Caffè Nero Marquee at a major music festival.
  • Conduct analysis into the current ranges and report on performance through our internal KPIs.
  • Have exposure to our food development, marketing and procurement teams.

The placement will be based in our head office in Covent Garden, Central London (with, on average, 2 days each week working from home).

You can expect a friendly and fast paced environment, where you can learn about commercial performance, ranging and store operations in a multi-format organisation.
