In the role of Warehouse Assistant you will be tasked with supporting all warehouse operations and logistics.The role will be based primarily at the S&C Warehouse (14 Raymouth Road, London SE16) and at the S&C office 8 Holyrood Street, London, SE1 2EL and on-site at events as required.
You will report directly into Andy Torstonson Warehouse Manager with Cat Batley our Head of Events. having the overall responsibility of the warehouse.KEY ROLES
In this role, you are:
- Responsible for the management of all kit/stock lists (from all departments) that are sent to the warehouse for picking and packing as directed by the Warehouse Manager
- Responsible for the cleanliness and general upkeep and organisation of all areas of the warehouse as directed by the Warehouse Manager
- Responsible for supporting the Warehouse Manager in all areas of warehouse administration and logistics both at the warehouse and onsite
- A representative of Sweet&Chilli onsite and can adhere to and deliver the high standards of professionalism and service when interacting with clients, other partner suppliers and our own S&C team
DIRECT RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role, you will:
- Ensure all items returning from projects/events are cleaned and returned to their original space
- Perform an array of functions that may include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock and kit, or packing kit and stock lists into the van in a safe and efficient manner
- Ensure the warehouse is always kept clean and in line with H&S/Fire regulations
- File all paperwork (delivery notes, invoices) correctly
- Know what and where all S&C assets are with the warehouse
- Manage waste management ensure all practices are being adhered to by S&C and our suppliers. S&C is a green operator where possible
- Driving duties including collection of event items, equipment to events and other company sites
- Be responsible for all onsite bar builds when bars are hired outside of an event
- Develop bestinclass solutions to the unique logístical challenges faced by S&C
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure excellent customer service and quality control is adhered to at all times and in every aspect of the role
- Research, propose & implement improved ways of working throughout your department
- Identify your own personal development/training requirements to maximize effectiveness in this role
- Identify and action/share opportunities for new business generation & development
- Actively discuss best practices with colleagues where necessary
- Ensure all work is both H&S & CSR compliant
The Sweet&Chilli Warehouse is a critical part of the Sweet&Chilli Event Production business and in the peak times (essentially the quiet period is between Jan - March) it is a fast-paced environment with multiple small and larger scale live events throughout the week and including weekends in the busy periods of the year.

- Confident in organizing and delivering events related documentation
- Good IT literacy across Office 365 suite (Microsoft Word, Excel and Teams)
- Full UK Driving license
REMUNERATION
The salary offered for this role is up to £24,000 depending on experience.
At the start of the Sweet&Chilli financial year (1st April) we guarantee an annual salary increase in line with inflation rises (capped at 3%).
You will be eligible for this increase after completing one full financial year (1st April - 30th March) of continuous employment at Sweet&Chilli.
Overtime when working on events/projects on weekday evenings or weekends is paid for via half and full lieu days (paid out to the equivalent value monthly if these are not taken due to work commitments).
