Job Overview:
Responsibilities:
- Utilize hand and power tools to fabricate and assemble metal components
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine work procedures
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure adherence to specifications
- Operate sheet metal equipment for cutting and shaping materials
- Ensure the timely clean down, set up and maintenance of all production equipment.
- To perform Planned Preventative Maintenance on a scheduled basis optimizing plant equipment to improve safety, quality, reliability, and productivity.
- To perform Planned Shutdown Maintenance requiring forward planning.
- To perform Unplanned Emergency Maintenance requiring diagnostic skills to determine faults and how to correct them.
- To operate production equipment efficiently, while maintaining quality.
- Communicating with the engineering and production manager, to ensure the smooth day to day running.
This role is working across two sites (Burnley and Skelmersdale) Mileage will be paid when traveling between sites, therefore a full licence is required.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in basic math for measurements and calculations
- Experience in stick welding and mechanical assembly
- Strong mechanical knowledge for equipment operation
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively
- Skilled in welding techniques to join metal parts accurately
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a maintenance or line setting role.
- GCSE including Maths and English
- Engineering qualification would be an advantage.
- Team player, selfmotivated able to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience in a production environment.

£12.00-£15.00 per hour
