About the Role
When you're not assessing, you'll be working alongside the Recruitment Team in the delivery of an effective end to end recruitment service, working in accordance with Northern's recruitment standards and processes to ensure the right people are in the right place with the right skills to deliver Northern's business objectives.
You will also work in partnership with the Engagement and Diversity and Talent teams to deliver internal workshops and promote Northern at external recruitment events.
The role will also require you to:
- Advise, develop, plan, and deliver effective face to face assessment centres for other roles within Northern as and when required, ensuring regular monitoring, and reviewing processes
- Using psychometric testing platform to administer online psychometric assessments
- Delivery of all elements of the Driver Psychometric Assessment process, to include Group Bourdon, TRP Parts 1 & 2, Tea-Occ, WAFV, 2HAND, ATAVT, SJE and a Multi Modal Interview
- Collate data relating to assessment pass rates linking to Northern's Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion strategy
- Timely and accurate completion of assessment paperwork
- Monitoring supply of test materials
- Carry out Industry Audits as necessary both internally for Northern and externally for other TOCS /FOCS as required. (2 years Assessment experience required)
- Ensure Assessor competences and membership to relevant bodies are maintained (E.G. BPS) as per Industry Standards
- Work alongside Recruiting Managers to carry out both internal and external interviews and advise on best practice
About You
You should be able to demonstrate:
- Working knowledge of recruitment processes
- Highly organised and detail conscious with high levels of accuracy
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral
- Experience of acting with absolute integrity and trustworthiness
- Previous experience of working in an advisory capacity, providing Line Manager guidance and support in line with company procedures
- Experience of working under pressure to tight deadlines in a busy office environment
- IT literate, able to use Word/Excel and demonstrate attention to detail
The following qualifications and experiences are desirable:
- Level B Test User Personality Training
- Registration with the ORR as an assessor to carry out psychometric testing for train drivers
- RSSB trained in Multi Modal Interviewing (MMI) techniques
- Level A Test User Occupational Ability Training
- Registration with the British Psychological Society in Test Use
