Description

We have an exciting opportunity in the Materials Science and Engineering department for someone to contribute to the research and development of the Field-Assisted Sintering Technology (FAST) process.


You will join the MAPP research team, led by the University of Sheffield, and be expected to collaborate with data scientists, characterization researchers as well as key external stakeholders in industry and academia (in particular Oxford, Manchester and HMVCs).

You will be expected to work effectively as part of the MAPP team, conduct full literature reviews and report their findings through presentations and technical reports.

The role will involve regular travel to partner companies/research institutes in the UK.


Applicants will have a PhD (or be close to completion) in materials science, engineering, physical science, or other relevant discipline.
