We have an exciting opportunity for a Works/Construction Supervisor with experience in delivering complex projects to join our defence sector, at a facility near Reading.


Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with the Construction Superintendent and the wider team to deliver the scheme.
  • Managing and coordinating site activities in line with the programme.
  • Reviewing daily outputs achieved and report to the Construction Superintendent.
  • Ensuring a quality product is delivered.
  • Ensuring only adequately trained and experienced operatives are engaged on site to deliver the works.
  • Undertaking monthly, SHE reviews with suppliers and specialists.
  • Delivering site inductions and regular toolbox talk briefings to the site team covering appropriate Health, Safety and Environmental issues and ensure records of these briefings are maintained.
  • Planning and assisting the wider Construction Management team in implementing the best avenue of works, advising on specialist's strengths and concerns.
  • Be fully conversant with specialists' contract conditions and attendances
  • Reviewing programme daily and assist the Construction Superintendent in identifying opportunities.
  • Recording resources and monitor outputs against programme.
  • Demonstrating a personal commitment to implementation of the Project Management Plan and attainment of the stated quality targets

About you


We are looking for an additional team member who thinks differently and can bring a fresh approach to the team.


The role requires Security Clearance at SC level with some to DV level, therefore the ability to obtain clearance is essential.

We are also looking for

  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Recognised Civil Engineering experience in a given field (For example, carpentry, groundworks, drainage...)
  • Understanding of Engineering ways of working.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction techniques and best practices.
  • Experience of large Infrastructure Project with Multiple trades operating within
