The RTG Chemical Biology of Ion Channels (Chembion) at the University of Münster is offering a position, for the externally-funded collaborative research endeavor Chembion, at the earliest opportunity, limited to 3 years.


Part-time with 65%

We are looking for an ambitious PhD student with a fitting research idea to be included in our multidisciplinary team.


Your tasks
Subject of the work will be the structure, function and pharmacology of ion channels. The PhD. student work will focus on work with
protein structure determination via Cryo-EM, molecular modeling and electrophysiology in single cells. We will provide a structured 3-year cutting-edge Ph.
D. student training program in and beyond the fields mentioned above.


Our expectations

  • A highly motivated and talented PhD. student holding a state examination degree in pharmacy or, alternatively, a master's degree in chemistry, biochemistry or biology Excellent command of spoken and written English Communication skills and team spirit are essential German language skills are not a requirement, but a willingness to learn is desirable
