Senior Development Manager - Renewable Energy
Climate 17 are working with a leading renewable energy company which develops, builds and operates quality renewable energy projects.
As an established renewables developer that's been operating for over a decade, the company has a team of over 100 dedicateddevelopment, investment, engineering and asset management professionals with offices in the UK and United States.
They have deployed more than £350m into the development, construction and now operation of more than 20 wind, solar PV and hydro projects totalling over 200MW and have a further 1GW of further capacity in development, as well as emerging businesses in greenhydrogen and floating offshore wind.
The client is looking for a self-motivated and proactive individual experienced in wind farm development to join a highly capable and dynamic UK development team.
The business gives staff the autonomy and flexibility to work from home, alongside visiting their offices in Bristol and London when needed.
Responsibilities:
- Project managing the development of UK onshore wind farms, battery storage and hydrogen projects through the development and planning process.
- Using areas of prior specialist experience to support other members of the team in the development of the client's full portfolio of sites.
- Providing specialist planning or land acquisition advice for renewables projects across the UK.
- Maintain dialogue with external consultants to ensure EIA assessments and reports are delivered, including analysis of the results to identify and rectify potential issues.
- Preparation, review and submission of documentation required for the discharge of precommencement planning conditions
- Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders to meet project deadlines.
Requirements:
- Project development experience, ideally within onshore wind and battery storage.
- Planning expertise across renewable energy projects.
- Selfmotivated and committed to achieving results.
- Empathetic and able to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Works well in a collaborative environment.
- Able to effectively prioritise workload and remains professional under pressure.
