Job Title:
Maintenance Electrician - 3 shift rota


Reports To:
Maintenance Manager


Location:
Doncaster Site


Job Purpose:


To integrate into the team of maintenance engineers and to ensure the plant and machinery across the site are available and reliable.

To assist in the reduction of plant downtime, continuous improvement initiatives, health and safety and project work. To proactively seek to reduce plant downtime through due diligence.


Accountabilities
Principal accountabilities shall include but not be limited to:

  • Work consistently within the remit of all company policies and procedures (Health and Safety, Quality, H.R. & environmental)
  • Ensure full compliance to the Company's quality / environment standards (ISO 1401etc) and also any legislation applicable to our operations (HSE, waste, COSHH etc.)
  • To carry out planned maintenance to the required standard.
  • To carry out reactive maintenance as and when required
  • To be able to coordinate and cooperate with production supervision on a day to day basis, to ensure the smooth running and availability of plant and equipment
  • To actively support and engage in continuous improvement projects and ensures the sustainability of these activities through promotion of best operational practices.
  • Continuous promotion of best H&S practice.
  • To proactively help reduce function accident statistics.
  • To carry out project works assigned to schedule

Planning & Organising

  • To plan maintenance tasks and prioritising jobs and workload

Internal & External Relationships
Daily contact with day Team Leader and Electrical Maintenance Engineer.

Daily contact with Production Supervisors


Dimensions
Job performance to be measured by kpi's set in the OGSM system annually and reviewed on a regular basis, but will be relevant to the following areas:

  • Health & Safety
  • Cost
  • Delivery Performance
  • Availability/Reliability
  • O.E.E.
