Finance Assistant


Main Functions /Assigned Tasks:

  • Full Responsibility for the administration of the overhead cost base of the purchase ledger
  • Processing of approximately 300 invoices per month, from printing to input.
  • Supporting the Assistant Financial Controller with the material purchases ledger.
  • Bank / petty cash posting and reconciliation
  • To assist with monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Prepayments & Accruals
  • Monthly/annual overhead analysis
  • Monthly government statistics
  • Fixed asset register management activation of assets/depreciation
  • Speaking to suppliers and customers
  • Daily office admin, opening the post, answering the phones
  • Responsibility for the purchase and stock levels of the stationery store.
  • AD HOC ordering of maintenance supplementary materials.
  • Other AD HOC duties as necessary
  • Assist in accounts audit
  • Matching of import VAT schedule with import invoices/documentation received.
  • Raising asset purchase orders
  • Previous Finance exposure
  • AAT qualification advantageous
  • Ideally will have worked in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work on own
  • The ability to communicate well at all levels
  • Highly motivated, proactive self starter
  • Keen and enthusiastic approach to work is essential
  • Should be familiar with Windows 11, Excel 2019, Word 2019 and Office 36
  • Prisma ERP system knowledge
  • BAAN knowledge will be a plus
  • The ability and willingness to learn and develop is essential
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
