GMP Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of our client located in Lydney, Gloucestershire for experienced Paint Sprayers to join successful team on a full time, permanent contract.

Our client is a fast growing and highly successful manufacturing company that has gone through substantial growth in the last few years through hard work and great service.

Reporting to the Paint Shop Supervisor, the Paint Sprayer will be in charge of clean and accurate painting of the products, whilst ensuring to follow all health and safety standards.

Paint Sprayer main duties:

Verify paint specification & colour meets the customer requirements, mix and use paint as per manufacturers instruction
Check all painting equipment is in good working order, notify charge hand of any defects
Use air and airless paint systems to produce the required paint finish, monitoring equipment operation and making any necessary adjustments to ensure the desired paint specification is achieved
Conduct quality checks throughout the painting process to ensure the finished product meets the desired standard
Ensure all Health & Safety requirements are followed, and PPE is always worn correctly
Assist in booth clean down, servicing and stock takes as required
Ensure all product disposal is in line with the company environmental policy
Assist other departments as required
Ensure all electrical tooling is PAT compliant, if not, withdraw the equipment from use and notify the Charge Hand.
Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and risk assessments
Maintain a clean & safe workplace
Occasional requirement to work off site, customer repairs

Paint Sprayer desired skills and experience:

Must have at least 2 years spraying experience
Good communication skills
Physically capable of performing all roles within the team
Ability to read & interpret documents, reports, drawings i.e., safety rules, operating & maintenance instructions, manuals etc
Prepared to undergo further development & training as required

This position is Monday to Thursday, 07:30am - 16:30pm with an early finish on Friday of 13:30pm.

The hourly rate is up to £14.15 and offers a 30p per mile allowance if you are traveling more than 30 miles per day.
