A superb opportunity for an

EHS Business Partner has arisen supporting our Yogurt and Desserts business for a results driven, highly focused individual with extensive health & safety experience.

In this role the key responsibilities will include:

Delivering an effective framework for safety program management ensuring that the plan risks and issues are effectively escalated and resolved across the region
Delivering an effective framework of incident investigation, auditing and training oversight with primary focus on action closure across the entire function
Delivering the effective transfer into the function of the tools and procedures contained within the safety management system
Maintaining the effective relationship for functional safety matters with the regulator/ enforcing authority
Leading the functional safety advisor(s) and manager(s) in the successful implementation of the suite of safety metrics for the function
Delivering safety support, coaching and advice to the operational leadership and embedding agreed safety standards and practice in all aspects of their operational delivery
Leading the functional safety team/site safety managers using the specialist skills and knowledge of individual team members to focus on professional competencies, development and meeting all customer safety requirements
Performance manages, coaches and develops direct reports and indirect reports where appropriate
Coaching and mentoring senior management on delivering safety as an integral aspect of all operational activity
Work as a successful safety business partner to the Operations Director and is part of the business Operational Leadership team
Maintaining effective functional links with senior stakeholders and contributing to and then delivering the national strategy, policy and standards
Direct accountability for leading safety initiatives across the whole function
Ensures effective integration of safety matters within the functions business plans
Direct accountability for supporting the executive board and acts as a key member of the functional ( health and safety ) leadership team
Delivering a suite of agreed safety performance metrics against which functional performance and change activity will be measured and evaluated

Key skills & experience

NEBOSH Diploma as minimum or equivalent
Member of IOSH
Lead auditor H&S auditing / training qualification
Ability to achieve good working relationship with colleagues at all levels in the organisation
Able to engage all safety stakeholders
Delivers inclusive practical/operational safety approaches
Ability to challenge and influence management teams in driving safety performance improvement
Passionate about safety and focused on achieving objectives
Able to promote a safe working culture and behaviours in others
Ability to manage significant safety risks and opportunities
Skills to prepare and deliver H&Srelated training sessions Professional, assertive and engaging
Influence others through coherent explanations
Ability to provide practical risk control solutions
Administration skills / report writing / letter writing / data compilation and analysis
Ability to work well as an individual and as part of a team
Able to establish and maintain and maintain an effective consultation process with safety representatives
Experience in claims management
Full driving license
