The Software Specialist will be a key technical resource as a part of the Implementation team in Professional Services.The Software Specialist will be responsible for installing and configuring software, training users, being part of the implementation team and providing support to installations.
In addition a key focus of the role would be on interface work which would involve gathering requirements, solution design, deployment and testing of interfaces with Advantive solutions with third party software solutions.
This role is a critical part of our Professional Services team and will leading the charge as an on some of our most complex and technical projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be a key part of the implementation team installing and configuring software
- To install and configure software as required for implementations
- To train users in software modules as required for implementations
- Support the customer through the implementation process as required for implementaions
- Be the lead interface / complex configuration resource for Manufacturing & ERP products
- Handle all Interface issues with partner and competing vendors as necessary for our customer sites
- Make recommendations on equipment or other resource requirements perceived to be necessary for the correct implementation of all applicable Software
- Develop and design Installation Procedures for new Customers
- Interface with Advantive's customers in the user community in the development of procedures, solutions to problems and new Advantive products
- Travel 50%
- 10+ years in Manufacturing Applications or ERP software
- Experience in installing software following standard installation guides
- Experience in delivering training to end users as part of an implementation
- Experience in being part of an implementation team
- Track record leading technical aspects of projects, delivering solutions on time and on budget
- Working knowledge of the target operating system and hardware environment of Advantive customers
- Deep interface knowledge and ability to write interfaces with a variety of thirdparty vendors
- Be able to relate to all levels from hourly production to upperlevel management including corporate teams
- Detailed working knowledge of Advantive products and our customers' business
