ROLE:
Consumer Duty Project Officer 6-month FTC (with potential to become full time position)

LOCATION:
Altrincham, Greater Manchester

This is a great opportunity for you to make your mark on the future of SML's products and services they offer, and to influence how SML approach the new Duty.

The role:

SML is implementing additional requirements to comply with the FCA Consumer Duty rules.

The purpose of the role will be to support the Compliance Director to design, test and implement changes to comply with the Duty.

Some of the responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Take responsibility for the Consumer Duty Implementation Plan.
Ensure all tasks set out in the Implementation Plan are accurately executed.
Identify any required improvement with existing products and services to ensure full compliance with all the Duty Outcomes and Cross-Cutting Rules.
Design new processes as required to achieve compliance with the Duty.
Liaise with the business and policy owners to implement and embed necessary changes to processes and policies across the customer journey.
Progress monitoring and reporting.

About you:

Desire to build a culture of continuous improvement and implementing changes.
Strong understanding of and ability to embed Consumer Duty obligations.

Experience in:

Credit broker/lending regulatory compliance (essential).
Non-Mass Market Investments (desirable).
Developing and/or implementing regulatory change or policy change.
Stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills, particularly at senior and board level.
