Junior/Trainee Production Planner

Ross on Wye

Competitive Salary Dependant on Experience

A progressive and innovative manufacturing group, with globally renowned products require a Permanent Production Controller to join it's team.

The production controller will be there to develop, implement and maintain Sales & Operations Planning processes and be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the company's ERP business system (Winman).

Although this position would also be suited someone with extensive experience in a similar role, we are able to offer time and resources to bring some in a junior/trainee capacity and develop someone who has the desire to step into a similar role.

It is essential you have a manufacturing background - this could be in a more shop floor operational role or in an amin focussed role.

Ideally you will have experience with ERP/MRP systems.

Key Responsibilities

To plan and coordinate production plans that maximise resource efficiency and effectiveness.
Overseeing the Company's ERP system and for advancing the processes and methods that support the companies growth and expansion targets.
Maintenance and development of manufacturing production planning and control processes and procedures.
Collaborate with the Sales and Commercial teams to construct annual budgets/forecasts, use these to develop Rough Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP) plans for resource and material planning purposes.
Work with the Supply Chain/Purchasing team to align material supply giving consideration to inventory levels and cashflow targets.
With Production Managers to set Quarterly and Monthly Production Targets
Creation and maintenance of Product BOMS
Create, distribute shop floor documentation
Jobs sheets, Work to Lists and progress labels, manage material & operations (labour) bookings, complete book to stock, release for dispatch and invoicing process.

About the Person

Experienced in a Manufacturing Environment with some knowledge of Product Planning and Inventory Management.
Organised, Tidy, Methodical
Ideally experienced in a similar position project based heavy engineering/manufacturing environment.
Experienced with MRP/EWRP software in manufacturing environments ideally Winman.
