Alexander Daniels are recruiting for aManagement Accountant for a business based in Halesowen.
MAIN REPSONSIBILITIES:
- Preparation of detailed Management Accounts for review by Financial Controller or Finance Director together with supporting analysis.
- Prepare various analyses and reports including but not limited to Rebate Monitor, Customer Allowances, Business Case, Margin by Product Report and others as directed.
- Review existing analysis with a view to maintaining and improving accuracy
- Monitor & reconcile accruals/prepayments, to include AP verification and payroll journal review and posting thereof
- Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Provide support to Financial Accountant re completion of VAT and Intrastat and maintain control account reconciliation
- Provide support in respect of quarterly intercompany reconciliation process including realised/unrealised FX revaluation.
- Prepare yearend audit/tax audit reconciliations via preparation of ad hoc analyses and complete statutory audit requirements
- Performing any other duties commensurate with role as may be assigned by the Financial Controller and Finance Director

Personal Situation:
- Must be able to own the Management Accountant role.
Specific Job Skills:
- Experience preferably gained in a manufacturing business with some exposure to standard costing
- Have had responsibility to work to reporting timescales and completion of monthend preparation
- Professional Accounting Qualification or QBE
Computer skills:
- Knowledge and competent user of MS/AX Dynamics or similar ERP reporting packages like SAP
- Intermediate MS Excel User and other MS Office packages.
Literacy and Numeracy:
- Highly numerate and literate
Business Skills:
- Familiarity of working in a diverse business with timesensitive reporting responsibilities
Management Ability:
- Prioritising and own timemanagement
