A great opportunity has become available for an experienced Supervisor based at our beautiful Hammersmith head-office.

Reporting to the Head of Accounts Payable, we are looking for a leader to supervise a small AP team of two.

Working together with 2 other supervisors to ensure smooth running of the shared service centre whilst adhering to all relevant policies and procedures.


Responsibilities:


  • Management of 2 direct reports
  • Regular review of the APTB
  • Ensure all compliance requirements are met including payment practices reporting, specific supplier payment terms etc.
  • Supervise the AP ledgers.
  • Own and communicate AP policies and processes to the business and suppliers.
  • Establish and maintain key reports (KPI, processing numbers, reporting on noncompliance with policies, statement reconciliations, debit balances etc.)
  • Monitor and report areas of noncompliance to budget holders and agree actions to resolve
  • Assist with month end deadlines such as bank reconciliations and Intercompany.
  • Provide adhoc financial information as required.
  • Supervision and development of the Accounts Payable function including setting objectives, monitoring performance etc.
  • Execute additional tasks as required to meet changing priorities
  • Compliance with all company policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of health, safety, and wellbeing can be maintained.

Essential for the role:


  • Experience of supervising an Accounts Payable team.
  • Excellent level of customer service.
  • Understanding of VAT.
  • Experience of leading and developing a team.
  • Building and managing strong relationships both internally and with external organisations.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Extensive experience of Excel and manipulation of data.
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Office.
  • Sound commercial judgement.
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • Experience working under pressure meeting strict deadlines.
  • Ability to manage change.
  • Beneficial to have:
  • Relevant finance qualification.
  • Implementation of process improvements.
  • Experience of Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains.
  • Experience of ERP System Basware
  • Understanding of SOX
