Veterinary Care Assistant

We have an exciting new opportunity that has opened up at Lakeside Vets for a Veterinary Care Assistant to come onboard and join our team.

We are looking for a dedicated, professional team member, who shows a real passion and positive attitude in every duty they perform.

You will be supported by a great team of nurses and receptionist.

Duties
As a veterinary care assistant, you would be an important part of the team in the practice.

You will be performing a variety of duties, such as ensuring the practice maintains high clinical standards, following cleaning protocols, handling animals, feeding animals, reporting and assisting the nurses with inpatient care and preparing medical equipment.

You will also be helping with reception shifts and duties, answering phone calls, preparing medications and greeting our clients into the practice.

Skills

Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal care facility is preferred but not required, Knowledge of basic animal care and handling techniques, familiarity with common veterinary medications and procedures, Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

This position is for a full time, 40-hour week, Monday to Friday, with some Saturday mornings.

Salary:
£21,673.00 per year
