UCLH hosts one of Europe's largest Haematology services in Europe with a 98-bed inpatient unit spread across the recently opened Grafton Way Building and UCLH Tower.

The service is nationally and internationally recognised for delivering specialist care for patients with blood cancers such as leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma, including those undergoing stem cell transplantation, as well as patients with other blood diseases such as sickle cell disease and rare thrombotic conditions.

The team is made up of over 150 inpatient nursing staff, approximately 50 consultants, 30 junior doctors, 30 administrators and a large multidisciplinary team of expert support staff.

The size of the service has allowed the formation of highly-specialised disease-specific teams who are able to provide expert care 24/7, as well as a leadership role across the sector in areas such as CAR T, TTP and Red Cell services.

We have an extensive clinical trials portfolio, supported by a wide range of research programmes through close academic links with UCLH.
