37.5 Hours per week (Temporary for 12 months)

Band 5-6 (dependent on experience)

We require an experienced, flexible and motivated Orthoptist to join our team of 8 Orthoptists and 4 Paediatric Consultant Ophthalmologists, including 1 Neuro-Ophthalmologist.

The post will be based at The James Cook University Hospital with single-handed sessions undertaken each week at a second acute site dependant on experience.

The post is a part time temporary position to cover maternity leave.

Duties include adult ocular motility and paediatric clinics in conjunction with an Ophthalmologist, general Orthoptic, Goldmann visual fields and support to eye casualty, neurology and maxillo-facial departments.

The James Cook University Hospital has a regional centre for Neurology and we are responsible for testing many patients from their speciality including Orthoptic assessments and Goldmann visual fields.
