The School of Natural Sciences at the University of Hull offers Biochemistry, Biology, Zoology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics degrees. We are looking to appoint a Lecturer in Biochemistry to join our team.

Biological Sciences at Hull has a strong tradition of high-quality research and teaching.

Our team teach and research in a wide range of specialist areas, spanning biochemistry through to ecosystem ecology, and colleagues also contribute to courses in Biomedical Sciences, Chemistry, Forensic Science, Environmental Science and at the Hull York Medical School.

The University and School have a range of policies intended to assist new members of staff, and those with family or other caring responsibilities.

These include a flexible working policy, a workload model that gives a high weighting to new teaching, mentoring and induction processes, and each new starter is assigned a specific colleague to assist in the first year.

We are seeking a Lecturer in Biochemistry to provide a broad contribution to the School's BSc Biochemistry and MBiochem programmes, and to start developing a portfolio of high-quality, externally-funded scientific research.
