We are looking for a Compliance Officer to work closely with our Head of Compliance (our COLP).

Based in Scarborough this role is to help us ensure our regulatory requirements are met and our people are supported to implement regulatory changes.

The role will ideally be full time and would suit someone either with a compliance background or a legal practitioner with a keen interest in this area.

Part time and some remote working may be considered.


The role will involve:

  • Keeping up to date with developments to ensure compliance with various regulatory bodies such as the SRA.
  • Supporting our COLP with the communication and implementation of compliance changes and updates.
  • Making and ensuring compliance with our various accreditations including Lexcel and CQS.
  • Working to draft and escalate required reports to the directors and the appropriate regulator.
  • Supporting the development and roll out of projects and training to promote awareness of risk and to enable us to proactively anticipate and mitigate issues.
  • Responding to compliance related queries and providing support and guidance across teams as needed.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a background within a compliance role, or someone who is legally qualified and has a keen interest in compliance;
  • Has a proactive, cando attitude;
  • Can prioritise when working under pressure and make objective businessbased decisions; and
  • Has excellent oral and written communication skills and an ability to build positive relationships.

Salary:
£25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
