We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented publishing professional to join our dynamic Books team.


We are Cambridge University Press & Assessment, a world-leading academic publisher and assessment organisation and a proud part of the University of Cambridge.


The role is positioned in the final stages of production, focusing on preflight, quality assurance, and technical print and eBooks oversight.


It would be a great next step for you if you've held roles like: Print Assistant, Production Assistant, Prepress Operator, Content Assistant, Quality Assurance Assistant, Publishing Assistant and are looking to take on new challenges.


About The Role


You will play a crucial part in overseeing the delivery of digital Books content and ensuring its conversion to the required formats, from receipt to delivery.

This position also requires coordination and collaboration with colleagues to ensure timely completion of workflows, while being responsible for maintaining quality standards and adherence to specifications.

Some key accountabilities include:


  • Receipt & QA of digital Books content with the use of InDesign & asset management software
  • Collaborating with remote colleagues and demonstrating soft project management skills.
  • Engaging with stakeholders in different business groups to address file quality and readiness.
  • Advocating for team needs, establishing timelines, and implementing changes.

About you
You are not afraid to ask questions and are hands-on in finding answers when they aren't readily available.

You are a proactive team player with excellent communication skills, ready to take ownership of tasks and collaborate seamlessly across diverse business streams.

Experience with asset management platforms, print quality assurance using InDesign & Pitstop Pro, and basic knowledge of eBooks is highly desirable.
