Heyland Recruitment are delighted to be assisting our client, a rapidly expanding subsidiary of a large successful, hugely profitable and innovative international group as they look to recruit an ambitious, part qualified or finalist Management Accountantin a newly created role for a Finance Business Partner.

Reporting to the Senior Finance Business Partner and accountable to the Board of Directors, this role is diverse and challenging with a fantastic opportunity to support and add value to the Project teams with strategic initiatives.

Reporting to the Senior Business Partner, core responsibilities include:

Working with operations and senior management to understand operational activity and how this links into the finances.
Building and implementing sound management information to understand financial performance.
P&L and Balance Sheet reporting
Implementation and continuous improvement of financial control
Day to day management of financials
Stock management (may include going to site to oversee physical stock takes)
Assist Senior FBP with Cash flows, investment appraisals including investment of assets or acquisitions)
Preparation of monthly management accounts for review
Preparation of weekly and monthly KPI dashboards and reporting of key variances to management, working closely with commercial and operational teams.
Support budgeting and financial planning
A part qualified / Finalist level accountant or equivalent with a strong academic background
Selfmotivated, responsive and with a great ambition to get involved
Commercially astute, curious and enthusiastic
Flexible with the ability to adapt to different situations
Driven to continually improve processes and seek new challenges
Good working knowledge of excel and reporting
