Account Handler Position:


Joining a growing agency, you will be responsible for managing the changes of client's accounts within the commercial and farming sectors.

This pivotal role between advisor, underwriter and client will see you deal with a wide spectrum of policy changes including the execution of renewal review changes, negotiating terms with underwriters and speaking directly with clients.


This role will see you also compelte a Level 3 Apprenticeship and work towards indsutry quaifications with the Charterred Insurance Institute.

The insurance industry is a large and diverse sector, with great career progression potential and multiple avenues of specialisiation.


Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Executing changes from renewal reviews and midterm alterations.
  • Writing post call reports.
  • Collating of renewal and new business proposals including presentations.
  • Working with underwriters to propose the best cover and terms for our clients.
  • Work in a highly regulated environment, where quality advice and service are of upmost importance.

Qualifications and Skills:


  • Some knowledge of experience of working in a regulated environment.
  • Driven individual with ambitions to progress through further roles within the business.
  • Personable and social character who has experience of dealing with a wide range of businesses and clientele.
  • Strong attention to detail and compliance, with a requirement to complete an extensive programme of product licensing and training.

About You:


You will likely be someone who has operated within the insurance industry in some capacity, but not necessarily as an account executive or advisor.

You may be a customer service advisor or administrator looking for your next challenge, with an opportunity to grow and progress within a growing business.


Working for NFU Yorkshire Central:


Joining a newly formed, dynamic team, you will be tasked with renewing assisting advisors with reneweing insurance portfolios, reviewing cover and negotiating with various internal and external stakeholders.


As we are passionate about developing our team, there will be an extensive licensing and training programme provided as well as fully funded support towards achieving CII qualifications.

Many apprentices join us and go on to complete further levels of their indsutry qualifcations and/or complete higher levels in the apprenticeship framework.


Salary up to £18,000 dependant on experience, sector knowledge and qualifications, and would be reviewed on completion of the training period which we anticipate would take 12 months.


The Apprenticeship:


This is a level 3 apprenticeship that will see you complete your certificate with the Chartered Insurance Institute amongst a full programme of internal licensing and training.

Upon completion you will become a fully qualified commercial account handler and have achieved a level 3 apprenticeship as an Insurance Practitioner.


Location:

Our office is based in Selby but covers a wide area throughout Selby & Doncaster.
