Contract Type:
Full time
- 42.5 hours per week 8:00am

  • 5:00pm

Start Date:
Immediate Start available.


Salary:
£18,000 - £20,288 depending on experience

As major stockists of electrical components from leading UK companies they offer ex-stock availability of thousands of items for immediate delivery.


Their specialism lies with their dedicated team of electrical specialists who design, manufacture, and install low voltage switchgear systems and distribution boards built to customer's specification.


As the business is growing & changing, you will be instrumental in making this happen and at times it might be a case of rolling your sleeves up to help get the job done.


Job purpose:


The role holder has responsibility for the organising and warehousing of electrical engineering stock for client order fulfilment & own use manufacturing stock, in line with the Company's existing warehousing processes & procedures.


Job responsibilities and duties:


  • Follows established warehousing processes for inventory management, stock replenishment, stock control, stock rotation and storage.
  • Ensures minimum stock levels are maintained across the Company sites and for the manufacturing unit. In doing so, moves/delivers stock between sites as required.
  • Ensures warehousing, supplier data and client information/data is accurate and kept up to date to support improved buying and selling decisions.
  • Ensures deliveries are scheduled to meet the customer's expectations, delivery notes are signed and reconciled to customer orders.
  • Maintains an efficient and costeffective delivery service to the customer.
  • Supports the Company's ecommerce order channel, e.g., uploading & review product information.
  • Ensures products are warehoused in a clean and safe manner to maintain product quality, checks for any product defects or quality issues, and reports them to the Branch Manager.
  • Undertakes, manages, and reports on all stock controls (goods in & goods) within the warehouse to ensure all stock reconciles.
  • Complies to the Company's health and safety processes and procedures and safe working practices. Ensures the warehouse maintained to a high hygiene & health & safety standard.
  • Manages any customer queries regarding orders and/or deliveries.
  • Performs stock takes, updates inventories and inputs to operational reports on damaged & missing stock.

Key Skills and qualifications:


  • Highly organised and attention to detail.
  • Experience in using MS Office, inputting gathering data electronically.
  • Full clean driving licence.
  • Ability to work as a team.
  • Willingness to learn and embrace training and development.

Decision Making Authority/Problem Solving:


  • Will provide advice on customer orders and resolve their queries.
  • Will seek authorisaton on high value orders.
  • Will rectify or update incorrect/out of date customer information or stock information.

Business Impact:


  • Will be working typically on a daytoday basis as directed by the Branch Manager.

Skills/Qualifications/Experience

  • Experience of working in a trade/B2B customer facing sales role.
  • Experience of selling electrical and/or switchgear systems would be desirable but not essential.

Personal Qualities

  • Excellent selling & negotiation skills.
  • Excellent customer facing skills.
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Drivers Licence (Not essential)

Salary:
£18,000.00-£20,288.00 per year
