Salary:
"Base salary: £25,050pa to c.£31,300pa depending on skills and experience. In addition, we offer flexible benefits fund of 15% which is paid on top base salary and is fully pensionable, as well as a range of competitive benefits - check them out in the Benefits section on our website.

As an
Assistant Systems Advisor at HS2 you will support the day-to-day management, operation and data required for the Petitioning process and the Select Committee Parliamentary Evidence System in order to support the passage of the Hybrid Bill to Royal Assent.


About the role:


  • Assist in the daytoday operations of the petition handling processes and the Parliamentary Evidence Systems
  • Assist with the setup of the Committee rooms prior to Select Committee hearings.
  • Assist with the accurate and timely input of evidence for exchange via the Parliamentary Evidence Management Systems
  • Assist with the accurate and timely provision of Promoter's Response Documents, U&A issue letters, and any other mass communication with petitioners/beneficiaries.
  • Assist on the mapping of U&As within gViewer, ensuring accuracy through liaison with Land and Property and the Construction Directorate as required.
  • Actively promote and embed Equality Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) in all your work, and support and comply with all organisational initiatives, policies and procedures on EDI

About You:


Skills:


  • Organisational and planning skills, including delivering to multiple deadlines.
  • Analytical skills able to compile documentation from various sources and extract the relevant information.
  • Prioritisation Skills including being able to manage competing priorities.
  • IT skills (e.g., Microsoft suite, particularly MS Excel and Word), document control (e.g., eB), and IBM Rational DOORs (Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System)

Knowledge:


  • Understanding the process of managing a Bill through Parliament; specifically, the systems required to do this, and the nature of undertakings and assurances and their place within the hybrid Bill process and construction.

Type of experience:


  • Experience of managing a high volume of work to tight deadlines
  • Experience of problem solving in relation to the implementation and management of processes and systems (ideally including IT systems)
