Overall job purpose**:


  • Develop effective and outstanding promotional Instore communications (POS) messages to our customers which align to our business objectives, so they are easy and efficient for our store colleagues to ensure that execution is right first time.

Key responsibilities:


  • Responsible for the delivery and implementation of promotional/value offers, key sales driving initiatives and reactive POS for all formats across the store estate
  • Work with Trading and Category Execution teams, supporting their promotional In-Store POS requirements inline with ASDA brand and POS Toolkit guidelines
  • Responsible for critical path management across promotional POS and other sales driving initiatives, to ensure activity lands right first time
  • Responsible for creating print briefs for our agencies to ensure the brief is delivered with minimum amends, in the most costefficient way, whilst maintaining and managing agency relationships and processes
  • Responsible for managing the sign off process internally with the POS Planner, Manager and Senior Manager. Also ensuring relevant sign off is sought when needed from Legal and Trading teams
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the ASDA toolkit, guidelines and ensuring POS is 'right first time' to land
  • Responsible for consulting the Promotional WAGJLL agency colleagues on any ASDA toolkit template changes to rollout, to ensure that all artwork still aligns to the ASDA brand image
  • Ensure accuracy in completing marketing administration tasks including POS Implementation communications, such as POS Elements Table summaries and a Store 'Pocket Guide' (weekly communication to stores)
  • Work closely with Retail Operations to execute all activity in store with attention to detail and effective communication briefs
  • Analyse the competitor's activity, building a knowledge bank and supporting autopsy process
  • Support the POS Planner and Manager with other reasonable requests
  • Role model Being ASDA beliefs and demonstrates cultural awareness

  • Selfmotivated and can work off own initiative
  • Excellent interpersonal skills together with a strong customer focused approach
  • Ability to direct and control a multitude of tasks
  • An understanding of retail and the ability adapt plans and thinking
  • Project management experience
  • Critical Path management experience

  • Experience of working in a fastpaced environment
  • A professional and flexible approach to work
  • Good PC skills including Excel, Word, and Outlook
