This role is part of a multi-disciplinary team, to provide an enhanced service alongside the Community Teams for People with Learning Disabilities across Berkshire.

The Berkshire Intensive Support Team (IST) uses a Positive Behaviour Support framework and a Human Rights based approach, covering the whole of Berkshire.

We will work people with learning disabilities, whose behaviour other people find challenging, and the people that support them, within their homes.

We will also work with inpatient services, the individual and their supporters, to ensure people can be discharged as soon as they are ready.

The role is Monday to Friday working 9 am to 5 pm, but there could be the opportunity for flexible working.

The team base is situated on the University of Reading Campus

The post is well supported by both well-established and coherent multi-disciplinary teams, as well as a strong team of LD Clinical Psychologists who meet regularly.
