Description

The Central Marketing Organization (CMO) inspires, acquires, and engages Microsoft customers and partners by driving Connected Sales & Marketing for maximized business and societal impact.

CMO accelerates the region's growth agenda through integrated marketing, creating marketing signals that generate pipeline, accelerate deals for sales, and delight our customers and partners, creating MS brand love.

You will oversee a team of event managers (4) and a digital marketing and social lead.

You will also have the opportunity to work on the latest innovations in marketing as part of a global team of world class marketers influencing the next phase of marketing innovations for Microsoft.

This role is flexible in that you can work up to 50% from home


Responsibilities:


Events - You will work with your Event Managers to orchestrate successful local event planning and execution to support Area business priorities and connection to Global Demand Center programs. The Events Lead leverages data to gain insights to maximize business impact of events and drive ongoing portfolio and program optimization. You will have the opportunity to work with multiple leaders across Solution Areas, Segments, and Industry teams while managing the event portfolio in your region. You will grow your skills at connecting marketing and sales by creating an event marketing approach that feeds into the appropriate marketing signals for sellers


Digital marketing - You will work with your digital and social marketing lead to drive online lead generation efforts, Enhancing our online presence, maximising lead volume and quality, and delivering against our core KPIs across the marketing and sales funnels.


Integrated Marketing Planning - You drive the formulation and implementation of local events marketing strategy and integrated events marketing plans aligned to area business strategy and priorities to deliver marketing objectives (e.g., acquisition, nurture, re-engagement) in close alignment with global strategy and the global and EMEA event framework. You ensure plans reflect importance of connected customer journeys and data driven decision making while leveraging appropriate target lists and digital tools and optimizing based on insights and local-market knowledge.


Data-driven Decision Making - You draw insights from aggregate analyses and key performance indicator (KPI) reports to inform long-term event marketing and business-planning decision making. You maintain and review events marketing related spend against planned estimates and ensure event delivery is consistent with marketing plan and is progressing appropriately. You continually improve customer experience by focusing on the needs of the customer at every touchpoint while leveraging global marketing technology capabilities.


Integrated Marketing Execution - You review event marketing activities for any gaps with global guidance and compliance standards (e.g., accessibility, privacy, security, area company brand). You drive change management and communication across various stakeholders while leveraging knowledge of work being done on team, and the work of other teams, to drive collaboration efforts.


People Manager - You model, coach, care in your team's career development. You ensure your team has a shared understanding of business objectives and the work accrues to these objectives. You lead your teams through change and resolution of complex issues or blockers.


Qualifications:


  • Extensive relevant experience in event marketing, in particular large scale events for a large global company
  • Digital marketing experience
  • Experience engaging directly with seniorlevel executives and sales account teams.
  • Proven record of operational excellence with ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously, demonstrating resourcefulness in resolving issues, ability to prioritize, and detail orientation.
  • Foundational understanding of enterprise technology trends such as digital transformation and cloud computing and/or Microsoft's enterprise solutions.
  • Exceptional presentation, written communications, and crossteam collaboration skills.
