My client is a well respected and rapidly expanding business operating in the Construction industry naming a number of PLC house builders amongst its customer base.

As part of the company's expansion, FRS have been enlisted to assist with the recruitment of a Commercial and Finance Director to join the business.


This position will partner closely with the Owner / Managing Director based from their new premises on the Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, Warwickshire boarders.


Playing a key role in the company's expansion plans, this position is to partner with the MD to help with the scale up process.

Overview

  • Create financial tendering models for all business entities, which were utilised for client contracts.
  • Financially reviewed the tenders to check the viability before submission.
  • Monthly contract profitability reporting to ensure tenders were achieving/exceeding the expected profitability inline with
tender submissions and exiting contracts when not viable

  • Producing financial and non financial reports for due
  • Generation of monthly management accounts, weekly and monthly reporting, for Board of Directors and Operational teams.
  • Finance lead for monthly Board meetings, presenting key financial information in order for strategic decisions to be made.
  • This included financial figures, customer profitability, order book information and head count analysis
  • The creation of short term (current year) and long term (5 year) business plans, through the reviewing of current
order books and future opportunities to tender.

  • Allocating the costs to these revenue streams and head office costs.
  • Partner with commercial and operational team to drive improvement in performance and reduction in cost
  • Qualified with 35+ years PQE
  • Experience gained within construction industry (ideally with house building or PLC clients)
  • High level of commercial awareness with desire to get involved in the commercial and operational running of the business.
  • Desire to join a rapidly expanding business


In return this newly created role can offer a basic salary of £80,000 to £100,000 + benefits, bonus and excellent future growth opportunity.
