_Our client is now looking for an Access Control Engineer to join their busy team_
You will carry out on-site electrical installations in a safe, timely & efficient manner as instructed in accordance with ISO 9001 Quality Standards procedures and operating within guidelines of specified processes & procedures.
Access Control Engineer Duties:
- Complying with all Health & Safety requirements
- Working with designated machinery/ equipment / tools provided by the company.
- Checking the quality of all goods received before working on them and handing unsatisfactory goods back to previous department.
- Reporting of any problem that will affect performance i.e., Defective parts, vehicle, machinery breakdown, and reporting through problem reporting software.
- Perform Tormax installations including the integration of access control
- Disconnect and reconnects for door installations
- Service and install a range of Door Entry, Warden Call, Automatic Door / Gate systems, CCTV systems (including IP/Networked), and Intruder Alarms;
- Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance to the above systems.
- Pre installation surveys to assess cable routes etc
- Conducting services to electrical doors, maintaining and repairing wherenecessary
- Installation of PSU's & fused spurs along with the ability to pull and instate mains power (230V) to a desired location.
- Connection and commission of jewellers/HVR
- Overview of different electronic locks, interlock & fob systems.
- Completing installation sign off reports including pictures and videos of work
- Sending purchasing requests for tools and work equipment
- Visiting client locations
- Inform customers about the functionality, care and upkeep of their new installations
- Ensure work is completed as requested by the customer, project manager or contractor and it is to their standards.
Access Control Engineer Requirements:
- An accreditation with ADSA, CAMEsafe, Tynetec CAI or equivalent
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work under time constraints to meet specific timelines
- Strong attention to detail and keen sense of safeguarding
- Ability to read blueprints and drawings
- Ability to draft electrical drawings for various fixings and closers
