Description
SMART Education are recruiting for specialist teachers to work one to one with students who have EHCP's. This can be on a full time or part time basis and flexible timings around your current commitments.

This role will involve working closely with young people with SEN and their families
- including children with ASD, PMLD, SEBD, SEMH and sensory impairments - who require 1:1 home tutoring for a variety of reasons (e.g. too poorly to attend school, permanent exclusions, school phobias and anxiety, or awaiting a new school place).


You will be required to:

  • Build an excellent rapport with both the pupils and their families
  • Deescalate sometimes challenging situations
  • Create a calm and positive learning environment
  • Remain approachable and supportive.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of the educational health care plan (EHCP)
  • Complete weekly home tuition report after sessions that outlines progress of the student.
  • Liaise with family, YP, SMART Education and the Local Authority.

Salary:
£20.00-£30.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • No weekends
