The Opportunity:


At our Filton site in Bristol, we specialise in the design and manufacture of large complex structural wing assemblies, detailed metallic components and wing systems for a combination of both civil and military aircraft.


We are seeking a new Team Administrator to provide administrative and secretarial support to the Operations Lead and the senior team for our Integrated Machining Facility.

This is a busy and varied role perfect for someone with excellent administration and organisational skills who enjoys keeping all the plates spinning.

Joining a committed and friendly team, it encompasses general secretarial and administrative work such as typing, taking minutes, helping to prepare presentations, diary maintenance via outlook, customer/visitor facilitation, organising meetings and workshops, maintaining filing systems and travel bookings.

You will also work with and support other team administrators as required. This is a fixed term contract for 12 months.

How You'll Contribute:


  • In this role, you will:
  • Provide general secretarial and administrative work for managers, typing, minutes, presentations, diary maintenance via outlook, customer/visitor facilitation, circulating information to relevant team members as required, organising meetings and workshops/ facilitation of conference room booking, maintain filing systems, order of stationery, preparation for management meetings, holiday management
  • Select relevant information that keeps the manager uptodate while they are out of the office without burdening them with unnecessary paperwork. Deal with as much correspondence that comes in as possible (completing appropriate response; liaising with relevant people involved; or moving things forward to the next stage)
  • Maintain the smooth running of the office at all times especially during the manager's absence
  • Support general administrative assistance to team members
  • Support managers and team members with travel arrangements via Concur, provide support with expenses when required
  • Be responsible for the communication KPIs and the updating of the KPI board
  • Be responsible for ordering and issuing GKN work wear
  • React positively and quickly to all tasks even when work is routine, ensuring an appropriate response to all calls and correspondence.
