My client is looking for a Finance Systems senior manager you will own the support, maintenance and development of the full suite of Financial and Actuarial systems and interfaces used across the Finance function.
You will manage a team whose focus will be on our core corporate accounting platform (Oracle EBS) and it's relevant sub modules.

Key Responsibilities:
You will support Finance senior management from a technical perspective, providing input to inform the development of our overall departmental technology strategy and shape our systems landscape.

You will lead the team responsible for the
Technical Development & Change of the relevant Finance systems, with a focus upon:
- Prioritising and scheduling the work undertaken across the team
- Delivery of all required system version upgrades required to remain in support
- Development of any necessary interfaces between our systems and those which are up/down stream
- System Testing and coordination of UAT
- Identifying opportunities for automation and process improvement
- Act as a Technical Lead, supporting the delivery of all relevant projects which impact Finance Systems
- You will be accountable from a Risk and Audit perspective for all relevant Finance Systems, ensuring that they are operated within our risk appetite framework, and that all Internal/External Audit requests are properly complied with.
- You will act as the Business Continuity representative for Finance, ensuring that we have a current Business Continuity plan and that Disaster Recovery tests of all Finance systems is carried out within the required timeframes.
About you:
- You are a qualified accountant with an excellent understanding of double entry bookkeeping and how that relates to accounting system analysis and design, or otherwise qualified by significant experience in systems development in a Financial Services environment.
- You have relevant IT or Programming Qualifications/experience. You have expert Functional and Technical knowledge of Oracle Financials R12, specifically 12.
- You have indepth knowledge and experience of Unit Pricing processes and procedures, and familiarity with external trading via online portals and the automation of settlements.
- You have expert knowledge of PL-SQL, Unix and sFTP concepts, and indepth knowledge of specialist tools such as TOAD, DATALOAD, Core FTP, PuTTy, Workflow Builder and J-Developer.
- You have a sound knowledge of Oracle reporting tools such as Oracle Discoverer and Oracle Reports
