The Visitor Experience team works across the cultural programme at Somerset House including commercial and live events, exhibitions, performance, talks and installations.

We strive to provide a warm and friendly welcome for our visitors in a safe and secure environment.

The Visitor Experience Assistants work across the entire programme at Somerset House.

One day you could be working on a visiting art fair such as Photo London or London Original Print Fair or you could be assisting on SKATE (our outdoor winter ice rink) or invigilating one of our exhibitions and another day supporting our Studios team on a talk no two days ever seem the same.

This in an active role and requires a flexible approach with working hours including weekends and evenings as we hold events 364 days of the year.

Some of our events/exhibitions are outside and we operate during all weather.

We are looking for someone who:

Has worked in a busy customer-facing role, with excellent customer service skills
Has teamwork experience, having worked as part of a large team
Has a commitment and passion for ensuring outstanding visitor experience to a diverse audience
Has enthusiasm for Somerset House and our cultural programme
Has a flexible approach to work and hours including evenings, weekends and bank holidays

Casual Worker Contract

Rate of Pay:
£11.95 per hour plus accrual of holiday entitlement
