Position:

Using our in house developed system you will be monitoring our day-to-day contract delivery position.

You will get to work with our trucks business obtaining exposure to our high-profile counterparties and gaining experience of co-ordinating with our clients and hauliers.

Tasks & Responsibilities

To assist with the daytoday execution of the contracts concluded by Front Desk.
Coordinating with Client Base, Hauliers, Surveyors/Inspection shipbrokers, ship owners and agents, and insurance company in fulfilment of contract
Supporting with the preparation & maintenance of shipment files in both electronic and paper forms
Participate in providing routing information and issuing shipping instructions to ensure deliveries arrive on time and to their correct location
Supporting the tracking of goods enroute to their destination ensuring any problems that may arise are resolved to avoid delays
Instructing / appointing cargo surveyors at loading and discharging port(s) when required
Assist with negotiating / booking Haulage / freight with freight forwarders and container line representatives
To take responsibility for your performance and to work together to achieve our organizational goals.
To attend training courses which are identified as being necessary for the performance of the role.
To be fully conversant with the Employee Handbook and supporting policies, including Health & Safety legislation and fire and emergency procedures.
To comply with any reasonable instruction issued by your manager.

Requirements:

We are looking for someone with the following skillset and attributes:

Essential:

Business level fluency in English (both written and verbal)
Advanced communication skills
Strong I.T. skills including proficiency in Excel and Word
Excellent analytical, organisation and time management skills
Keen attention to detail and the ability to multitask
Selfstarter with the ability to use initiative for problem solving.
Resourceful, innovative and proactive
Personable with the ability to build relationships and communicate with all levels both internally and externally.

Desirable:

Ability to speak a second language.
