Professional Indemnity Lawyer

We are looking to recruit a professional indemnity lawyer to manage the professional indemnity circumstances and claims against a large international law firm.

This role could be full or part time to suit the right person.

There would be a lot of remote workingbut the idea would be to have some office base in Manchester or Bristol.

The firm is ever growing with its presence in over 40 countries and has nearly 5000 lawyers spread over the world.

About the role
The role will work with the firm's PI and Claims Partner and the rest of the claims team alongside the in house general counsel

Key responsibilities will include:

Handle claims and notification of claims by liaising with relevant partners and fee earners
Liaising with insurance and brokers as appropriate to ensure notification of claim and circumstances of compliance
Determine the strategy for managing the circumstances
Consider and preparation of feedback to internal risk team, developing what lessons can be learned from each claim moving forward
Conduct analysis of insurance notifications to identify trends and issues moving forward
Assisting the COLP and General Counsel to handle regulatory matters and report back to the regulator
Assist in the preparation of the annual PI renewal processes as appropriate
Assist in performing internal professional indemnity training where appropriate for the rest of the teams
