Description

AEG Presents are now looking for an IT Support Assistant for AEG's businesses in Europe (currently France, Germany and the United Kingdom).


Reporting to the IT Service Desk Manager, you'll be managing the IT Service Desk software for AEG Europe, including ensuring that incoming requests are assigned to the correct teams or individuals and ensuring that requests are updated regularly.


This will be a varied role; additional day to day duties will involve resolving IT Service Desk requests from European staff where they can be resolved remotely, or where they can be resolved 'at desk' for staff at the AEG Europe head office, along with handling the procurement and maintenance of IT end-user hardware (laptops, mobile phones, printers, etc.) and software.

You'll set up IT hardware for new starters and handle office moves, etc. and will undertake any other relevant duties or reasonable request as requested by the IT Service Desk Manager.


You'll have great communication skills, a confident and professional telephone manner and will be able to build good working relationships with internal colleagues and stakeholders across different departments.


You will already have experience of user administration in Active Directory and will have strong technical skills to support and troubleshoot issues with common office IT hardware such as laptops, printers and scanners.


You can use your own initiative, work with minimum supervision and are organised and able to work to agreed timescales and are skilled in network technologies.

This will include a strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP, and have the ability to troubleshoot network and internet connectivity issues.

If you have language skills (written and spoken) in French and/or German, plus experience with ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus or ServiceNow, this would be a bonus

You'll want to raise the bar in this role, be solutions focussed and look for ways to maximise efficiency. We encourage new ideas and innovation.

Where:
This role is based at AEG Europe's head office in London (currently 240 Blackfriars Road). Occasional travel to other AEG locations, including venues and offices in the UK and France will be required.


Flexible/home working is available, but with the caveat that there must be at least one member of the European IT Service Desk team on site at 240 Blackfriars Road on any working day.
