This role is office hours working M-Th 8:15-4:45 F 8:15-1:15 based at Colwyn Bay North Wales.

There may be some additional weekend and unsociable hours and/or working from home on occasion to meet business needs and as agreed with the Line Manager.

Some travel to the USA may be required for training and introductions.


This role will be responsible for introducing new products into process, you will be responsible for testing and making recommendations to engineering and quality for transition into production.

You will also be responsible for taking the lead in NPI coaching, on-the-job training, supporting day-to-day operations, interacting with customers at all levels and presenting to Senior Members of Abrasive Technology and customers.


This is a pivotal role for the growth of the Company and requires a high level of organisation, accountability, and the desire to find solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


Create the concierge customer experience for the SIOP process in the delivery of NPI and validation programs large and small.


  • Create and track project plans for NPI in Smartsheet, Excel or other tools as needed.
  • Work with customer service to understand customer needs with respect to ramp up.
  • Work with Engineering to estimate and track the fixture and process development timelines.
  • Support production fixturing as required, and process new parts to ensure expeditious processes.
  • Provide Sales and Customer Service with updates about the NPI projects, changes to commit dates, etc
  • Work with operations to obtain process acceptance, customer approvals, and plan the required level of fixture inventory with Operations leadership

Required Qualifications:


  • Experience in the aerospace parts manufacturing or processing industry
  • High competency level with MS Office products
  • Demonstrated collaborative problem solving with manufacturing associates.
  • Verbal and written communication skills consistent with a professional business standard.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects on a continuous basis.

Desired Qualifications:


  • Experience in an AS9100
  • Familiar with NADCAP
  • Knowledge of Import/Export
  • Demonstrated leadership attitude and proactive solutionoriented approach to working
