SENIOR CATEGORY MANAGER | ATHLEISURE & SPORTS | UP TO £65,000 | MANCHESTER

After almost 10 years of trading, they're now on the look out for making certain departments bigger so that they can go after, and deliver ambitious growth plans.

If you love apparel, more importantly sports and athleisure, then this is a role where you can embrace innovative thinking & pushing the boundaries

In this Senior Category Manager role you will need to be able to implement disruptive, bold strategies & having a vision and see it through.


As the Senior Category Manager you will:

  • Review all ranges with merchandising, product developers and designers
  • Ensure all pricing is clear, competitive, but drives quality
  • Review and back all key product pieces
  • Be daring to test and trial innovative product
  • Monitor and protect all bottom line margins for your department
  • Work closely & collaboratively with merchandising and partners to protect volume buys
  • Always be on the lookout for that next opportunity from a wholesale & partner perspective
  • Own the trading calendar with the wider department ensuring key launch dates are met
  • Monitor direct competitors and the wider marketing for trend research, launches, price points, quality and general market intel
  • Work with each account seasonally, ensuring all trading curves are planned to in order to capitalise on sales
  • Report and own your departments successes and losses to senior management

As the Senior Category Manager you must:

  • Be from a wholesale, merchandising or category management background
  • Must have led a team and have been a direct line manager
- developed and trained other

  • Be from a retail, head office
  • Developed, implemented and seen the results of your own strategy plans
