Haffey Sports Grounds, based on the outskirts of Portadown is a leading contractor specialising in civil engineering and sports grounds projects, comprising of large-scale ground works for schools, local authorities and sports grounds.
We are currently looking for an experienced workshop / yard person to join our team.Responsibilities:
- Assist in yard operations to ensure the smooth running of the business
- General yard duties including yard maintenance and maintaining a tidy and safe working area
- Ensure appropriate segregation of all materials and machinery
- Safe movement of equipment and machinery
- Ensure stock levels are kept to the required level to facilitate ongoing works
- Receive and check delivery of goods against delivery notes and purchase orders
- Collect materials from suppliers and deliver to site as required.
- Maintain vehicles and ensure they are compliant with all legal, regulatory requirements and taking vehicles for MOT.
- Loading and offloading of trailers
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures
About you:
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Motivated
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Able to work to deadlines.
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Full clean driving licence.
- Have a fluent level of English, spoken and written
- CSR Card
- Mechanical experience
- Valid HGV Class 1 licence
