Aerotron Composites is a privately owned company, one of a number of successful aviation companies in the Aerotron group. At our site in Chatteris we manufacture composite aircraft components for several major aerospace manufacturers.

We are currently expanding our manufacturing capacity and are developing new repair capability for airlines within a new build extension of our current facilities.


We are looking for someone to join and strengthen our inspection team with a range of tasks to both suit the individual and keep interest in day-to-day activities.

You will be part of a dynamic and multidisciplined department and Company. Salary and responsibility will be offered according to experience and qualifications.

Job Purpose

  • To ensure quality standards are maintained through collation and approval of FAI and associated documentation.
Primary Responsibilities

  • Compilation and approval of FAI reports.
  • Concession/deviation generation and submission
  • Dispatch facilitation
  • Reviewing and approving CofC documentation for product dispatch.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with key departments across the business in support of the FAI process.
  • Support the business in meeting delivery targets.
  • Follow company health and safety policies at all times.
Secondary Responsibilities

  • Support goodsin inspection activities of subcontracted processes.
  • Contribute to departmental continual improvement activities.
Primary Requirements

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to make informed decisions.
  • Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office package.)
  • Ability to communicate well at all levels, be selfmotivated, professional in approach, with a cando attitude.
  • Proven track record in problem solving.
Beneficial Requirements

  • Good understanding of engineering drawings and tolerancing (GD&T knowledge desirable).
  • Knowledge and use of Q-Pulse Inspection software desirable.
  • Experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of compliance standards such as ISO9001 and AS9100.
  • Knowledge of FAI (First Article Inspection) standard AS9102.
