At this school, you would be welcoming with a warm, friendly and community atmosphere. They recently had an Ofsted inspection and were graded 'Good'. This school is a one form entry school covering ages 4-11. The school is lucky to have large outside groundssurrounded by beautiful countryside.

EYFS Provision
The school follows the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum.

The Reception class day is balanced between different types of activity including teacher led guided sessions and learning through play within the continuous provision.

The EYFS provision hasample indoor and outdoor space with many activities and resources.


Reception Teacher Roles and Responsibilities

  • Supporting the vision, ethos and policies of the school and promoting high levels of achievement in EYFS.
  • Supporting the creation and implementation of the school development plan, particularly where it relates to EYFS.
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of the provision in EYFS in close collaboration with the leadership team.
  • Organising and managing teaching and learning in EYFS.
  • The development and monitoring of the curriculum provision in EYFS.
  • Supporting the Headteacher and EYFS Phase Leader in the monitoring of the quality of teaching and children's achievements, including the analysis of EYFS data.
  • The pastoral care of children, promoting independence and good behaviour, in accordance with school policies.
  • Ensuring that parents are fully involved in their child's learning and development and wellinformed about the EYFS curriculum, their child's individual targets, progress and achievement.
  • Developing the use of new and emerging technologies and techniques within the classroom

Essential requirements:


  • Fully qualified Teacher Status
  • Teaching experience in the United Kingdom
  • Experience and qualification in EYFS are essential
  • Professional references to support recent teaching experience
  • DBS Checks
  • Overseas Police Checks (If applicable)
