Works Inspector


Founded in 1970, Collis Engineering Ltd is a specialist structural and mechanical engineering manufacturer and is an industry leader in the design and supply of railway signalling structures, location platforms and signalling points components.

Role

As part of this role you will:

  • Conduct random patrols of all manufacturing areas to inspect work in progress.
  • Perform firstoff and final inspections of products manufactured in our workshops.
  • Assist in the management of the calibration of measuring equipment.
  • Engage in the management and verification of company jigs and templates.
  • Participate in proactive activities to promote and assist continual improvement in quality.
  • Carry out goods inward inspections when necessary, ensuring compliance with documented procedures in the company QHSE Manual.

Experience/Key Attributes

  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain highquality standards.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
  • Proactive attitude towards problemsolving and process improvement.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance principles and practices.

Qualifications

  • City & Guilds craft or equivalent qualification
  • Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not essential.

Desirable Qualifications

  • CSWIP 3.0 Weld Inspection certification.
  • PCN Level 2 in Magnetic Particle Inspection.
Full training provided for those without prior certification.

Hours
Full -Time, Permanent.

Mon to Thurs: 7.30am to 16.00pm

Fri: 7.00am to 14.00pm


Salary
£14.75 per Hour
