Our client, a non-profit organisation who pride themselves on their company values and services, are currently going through an exciting growth period.
They are looking for a positive and dedicated individual to enhance their team in a brand new role asBusiness Unit Manager.
This will be a full time, permanent position based from their welcoming offices in Tewkesbury.
As Business Unit Manager your main responsibility will be to manage the successful and compliant operation of business schemes, contracts and laboratory.
You will lead the team in the delivery of business plans for continuous improvement to the core aimsof the business, as well as, consistently monitoring, analysing and reporting performance.
This position will suit an individual who has previous experience working within either the solid fuel heating or plumbing sector that may be looking for a change ofenvironment to support a growing company's objectives for a safer and cleaner future.
To be considered for this position you must hold relevant technical knowledge and experience in a similar position and show a positive attitude with a willingness to continue to learn about the industry.
Responsibilities:
- Create a consistent approach to process, delivery and reporting
- Constantly assess the performance of the company and the management support required
- Build successful relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders and provide meaningful
- Implement growth strategies for financial gain and customer value
- Have an understanding of the management framework, policies and regulations
- Make business critical decisions through consultation with senior management team
- Actively contribute to business planning, budgeting and identifying opportunities
- Ensure that the department is always suitably resourced with a competent and capable team
- Produce and present accurate and timely reports on business unit performance
- Identifying market opportunities through meetings, networking, and other channels
- Attending events such as exhibitions and conferences on an ad hoc basis
- Other duties as defined from time to time and as needed by the business
- Experience in working in the energy or environmental sector or to have a strong interest in the environment
- Experience of managing a team and implementing change and continuous improvement
- Able to quickly develop a working knowledge of operating systems and procedures
- Ability to build successful relationships with a wide variety of people
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to contribute constructively to a management team
- Have a positive approach in a growing and changing organisation
Hours:
Monday - Thursday 8:30am - 5pm, with an early finish on a Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm
Salary:
Up to £45,000 per annum, depending on experience + excellent company benefits including, fantastic pension scheme, free onsite parking, Death in Service, Cycle to Work scheme, company events, flexi time and 28 days holiday + bankholidays.
